I was born in the United States but grew up primarily in Antigua Guatemala. I am presently twenty three years old and am currently attending Quest University Canada in British Columbia Canada.  I started drawing at the age of seven. After receiving awards at various competitions in high school. I had my first solo art exhibit at the age of seventeen and another solo exhibit when I was twenty at Meson Panza Verde, in Guatemala. My medium is black and white classical photography and black and white charcoal renderings, on suede matt board. These drawings are renderings of photographs taken by myself, friends and other photographers.
By using black and white I find that raw emotions can be better portrayed without color distracting the eye.  I draw portraits of people from different areas of the world showing that in spite of age, gender, religion and race we all have common lines. These lines show the stories of life and of living no matter how dark the tales may be.  I focused these drawings around peoples eyes; for there is no better place to find truth without words.  There is no better place to look for the conspicuously quiet signs that capture a life story.  The eyes depict life that doesnt wither with time and isnt obscured by the dark lines of our daily toil. What else is there, but to share our communal visions of humanity, but through the eyes of the world?

A special thanks for my close friends who gave me some of their beautiful images for inspiration for my latest art exhibit.
